![]() It was a busy Monday; spending my day in the classroom, exercising my patience, when the phone rang.....I answered - it was Warren. I was expecting the call but didn't know when, so when I answered and heard it was Warren I got excited, even though I wasn't sure about this blind date thing! We chatted a while and set the date for Wednesday 21st May at Primi Polo in Hillcrest. ![]() I arrived a bit early as I always do (let's hope I am able to be fashionably late for the wedding) and waited in my car for Warren to arrive. Eventually, 5 minutes later, he did. Luckily Warren is also a stickler for never being late. So the date began; we sat down to what we thought would be a quiet dinner, but boy were we wrong. It ended up being the night of the English Premier League finals (between Manchester United and Chelsea) and there was also a live band playing. Now that the tone had been set for the evening, we decided to join in the festivities. Before we knew it we were chatting and surrounding ourselves with everybody in the restaurant, and even dancing on the chairs at one stage!!!! (yes, that was me) After so much fun we barely ate, so asked for our food to go, which by the way we ended up leaving behind.....boy did I regret that later in the morning, as I'm sure Warren did too? We headed to Warren's for coffee and he was definitely in the "impress her stage" as I got a home-made cappuccino.... What happened to those Wazz? Sadly the night drew to a close and I headed home. Thursday passed, no call, and I started getting a bit worried as I'd had such a great time and was hoping there would be a second date. Warren timed it to perfection, a call later in the day, and we were set for a Friday date....do I even need to say more? We have been going on "dates" now for almost 4 years and I still get excited warren calls, and I can't wait for the end of each day to spend my evenings with him! Thanks Robyn Otto and Robyn Briggs for being the masterminds behind the blind date! |
